SERHAT CACEKLİ | CONTEMPORARY ART: WAVE OR PARTICLE?

Experiments done in 19th century proved that light, which was formerly thought to have consisted of just particles, moved as a wave in certain situations. These observations not only served as a starting point for further developments in science, but have also brought along many discussions in philosophy.

During this panel, by focusing on examples such as electromagnetic radiation, and gravitational waves that contain information on the birth of the universe, we will discuss whether contemporary art resembles wave theory or particles.
